In view of the comment below,  I have withdrawn the battery diagram,  unless anyone knows if it is correct or not.
  (I have not followed it,  I found  it on RC Groups some time ago)......
Looking at several forums there seems to be alot of confusion of this parallel/series business and a lack of good diagrams..

eee dont do that.... it';s 2 pac in seri and team pack in paralelle, = to 6 cell pack 4200mha

I think you should leave it up we learn by comments

in serie, you add volt togetter,  in paralelle you add the capacity togetter...      2 pac of 3s 2200 in serie = 6s 2200
2 pac of 3s 2200 in paralelle = 3s 4400

paralelle =  + with+  and - with -
serie = pac 1 + with pac 2 -  and you use the - from pac 1 and the + from pac 2

I always use the analogy of jump starting a car.  To get more oomph (or AMPS) you connect in parallel.

If you connect in series, you';re gonna blow it to smithereens with double the voltage :)
