Finally! After weeks of research, planning I got my first custom quad built. Armattan Gecko 3", cant wait to take him out for a test flight.
Here are the picture: https://imgur.com/a/BUNVbxO.

Just about 250g as I tried to make it.

A little more crash protection might be beneficial:-

The radio aerials could easily get into the prop arc, esp if quad lands upside down. Better tubing to hold it away?

The motor arm wiring could be impacted by the prop blades in a crash better protection and tighter holding down near frame where prop tips would travel if bent?

Looks good, might be worth making sure you cable tie the power cables to the frame as a battery ejection could rip them off their connection pads.

Good luck on the maiden.
I try :-)

Radio aerials are quite safe, and VTX one is not really flexible plus the connector is MMCX so it would rather unplug itself before getting smashed by props. However, I want to improve the way is secured to the drone, I want to make sure its more upright somehow, I feel that would improve the reception on my end. As for the motor arm wiring, I tied them down with electric tape, anyway they are quite cut on measure so would be quite difficult to get picked up by props.

That is a good catch will see what I can do about it.

Anyway, was a fun first flight, gotta get used to new transmitter and drone, Its sooo fast and agile. However, I had a bad crash (trying power loop) which somehow destroyed one diode on the ESC. I found pieces of it and debris which I cleared from those pads.

Now I know that the ESC, apart from the diode is still fine as rest of the drone powers up fine but there is no the usual beep that you get which lets you know that ESC and FC are talking. So I ordered a new ESC but I wish to fix this one. Does anyone has experience with this type of issue? I could easily put a new diode, the problem is I don't know which one was there originally, the specifications of it.

So you can see which way round the diode is supposed to go. I would be tempted to try a 1n4002 diode and see how it goes. I have no idea the exact one but a 'standard' diode like a 1n4002 would at least prove if the esc works, worst case the diode blows due to not enough current flow.
Good Luck

So what I did in the end is I bought exactly the same ESC and now it arrived and I can see that originally there goes a Schottky diode K34, which you also see on the picture that I shared before. It's used in other place right under the silver squared component.
I guess now I will buy spare K34 diode and fix it so hopefully I will have two working 4in1 ESCs.

That's logical as the Schottky diode has a lower voltage drop across it so it can switch faster.

Good luck, hope it all works.
