I was just laying out some recently removed from service LiPo to dry from the salt water bath for dumping and took the attached picture:-

Not a valid attachment ID.

The white with orange bar ones are Loong-Max, and date from about eighteen years ago.

The green are Perkins "Twister" and are around twenty years old.

The orange ones are the name that replaced Loong-Max called "Tipple", and date from around fifteen years ago.

Not a bad service life?

That's a lot of lipos but 20 years!!!! Great service and well looked after.

What's your secret?
I try :-)

I have no secret, and I do not particularly operate in the "approved" manner.  I always recharge fully asap after a flight session, and rarely if ever use Storage mode.  I did do during lockdown on the larger packs only. As said before I have had packs go way below "safe" minimum voltage, one in particular that was connected to ESC in a tree for a month plus (due receiver range failure, when recovered it had a one metre range!). That pack was under one volt on one cell of its three but carefully brough up again it is still in use, and that was two years ago.

Packs that cannot stand such treatment including Turnigy "blue" and Zippy do not last long and once known about those types are never bought again.

Most of my current LiPo are HK high C Nano-Tech, HK Graphene, and more recently mostly Gaoneng have been joining my collection, with very good results.

You have to bear in mind that as just one example I have more than 30 2200mAh 3S in use mostly 50C upwards and recently some 110C.

I never charge at site.

There is no such thing as a single automatically GOOD make though, as for example the 520mAh and 650mAh 1S from Gaoneng have been excellent, but the 450 mAH 1S have been prone to swell, even on low current use like the Tiny6/7. Others in my group have had identical results, even one in the group who always does use storage charge between one Monday indoor and the next. (when we could have them............  :cry  :lipsrsealed: )

Good to know BR.
I had the Turnigy blue and Zippy and they were naff. They went very puffy, but I put that down to them not being on storage charge over winter, but it seems they were just naff.
The Gaoneng 350mAh 1S are great, I am very impressed by them, cheers.
I try :-)
