Ordered on 12th April and it arrived today (21st April). So quite quick.
This is the gimbal https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Sivler-RTF-3-Axis-Brushless-Gimbal-Camera-Mount-w-black-2204-260kv-2805-140kv-Motor-Storm32/32766257903.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.gk6KhT
I bought the assembled version at £38 as threading the cables through the motors didn';t look fun and it was only £1.60 dearer.
It was well packed and came with 3 short servo cables, and a velcro camera strap (go pro type).
Weight was about 180gms with out camera.
It bolted straight onto my F450 gimbal plate hole pitches were 45mm same as storm32 board.
Strapped on sj4000 and centred the lens with the yaw motor.
Powered on and after about 30 secs get beeps, so all well. I then tried to connect usb. I realised that the GUI needs to be same version as FW!
Tried a couple of FW downloads as they have GUI in and version 0.89 worked perfect.
Saved initial config in case all went pear shaped.
Ran through the getting started and config gimbal settings. All went well no errors.
Only issue I had was yaw was off by about 30 degrees and roll about 5 degrees off.
Found settings to correct under setup RC offsets.
Switched on second IMU.
Setup tx channels for pitch and yaw.

That';s it all working. Well just default PIDs currently but can';t set them up as work commitments stopping my fly for a while.

When the bluetooth module arrives I can solder it in and use my android phone to set pids.

Fingers crossed it will be reasonably stable to start.
I try :-)

Look forward to some videos once you get yours airborne matey :)

They';re a great price and work well.  I think I use version 0.96 olliW PC software for mine.
Very happy with the results.

Do you think this gimbal set up will work with Naza M lite, instead of using a default Naza gimbal which is very expensive.

I am using on my f450 which is using the Naza. I connect the gimbal control wires to 2 channels on my FlySky 10ch receiver. So gimbal control has nothing to do with naza. Works fine. Needs a little tweeking of the pid loops, which I still haven';t done yet as it is reasonably stable just not perfect.
I try :-)

Is it the Naza M lite version or the Naza M v2 version of Naza you use?
And was the camera s4000 which you were using.

ched

I have Naza lite with V2 firmware.
Yes it is a SJ4000 camera. It is good but video out has to be selected each time camera is powered on. I have the SJ4000 & Fpv cam on a remote switch. So I can see fpv cam or SJ4000 when flying. So every time I swap batteries I have to set SJ4000 to output video again.
I have had the Sj4000 about 2.5 years so it is a bit old.
I try :-)

Checked your link, the seller is excellent, as per the reviews,
1) how have you connected your FPV to Naza, and
2) which version of Naza are you using.
3) can this Gimbal be used with another camera, which is not sj4000
4) do you know a good link for a compatible camera for this gimbal, preferable if it is a newer version.
2)

1) how have you connected your FPV to Naza, and it is not connected to the Naza at all. It is connected to my rx ch9 & ch10. I think you can use X1 and to control pitch and yaw. I didn';t see any advantage connecting to Naza as the gimbal has a controller for the brushless motors. I think X1 & X2 are more for the older servo gimbals or their own one.
2) which version of Naza are you using. Good question, I don';t know which lite version it is.
3) can this Gimbal be used with another camera, which is not sj4000 Yes, I think the xiaomi yi, and the rectangular style gopro cemeras
4) do you know a good link for a compatible camera for this gimbal, preferable if it is a newer version.Might be better off searching google for ';best action cam'; and look for a rectangular gopro size one
2)
I try :-)

Ok so if i understand, you can connect the Gimbal to the RX directly and surpass the naza altogether, in that case basically i might have to buy a 10 channel Rx alongwiht the gimbal set and am good to go.

Yes, you can use the rx you have as it has 1 spare channel (4 channel +1 ch for fight modes) but you could only control say pitch of the gimbal. Note I am using PWM mode on naza so I have 5 cables from rx to naza plus 2 from rx to gimbal. See how you get on with just pitch control then if you want to control yaw you can upgrade to 10ch rx.
I try :-)

Dippi

Ok cool. I was a bit confused between the Naza original gimbal system and this 3 axis system. But no I have a better grip, so some time soon need to move in this direction.
Another question do you use FPV on your Naza and if you do, how?
What parts are you using?

I do have fpv on my F450. Its an old board camera and 5.8G transmitter. Nothing special.

Are you using FPV on your drone with NAZA M Lite FC?
What parts do you use, could you give the model numbers etc.
OR do i need to get the IOSD mini CanBus etc from DJI for that?
Have you used your NAZA M Lite FC for a racing drone? Do you think it is advisable to do so?
Thanks

Dippi

Thanks about all the info about the gimbal, the method you have prescribed is pretty economical. It was pretty difficult to get hold of DJi parts at a good price as usually new parts are quiet dear. And sorry for hijacking your topic towards FPV area.

ched

Cheap and cheerful that';s me.
For a racing drone you dont need gps and you certainly dont need the weight of a naza. Light weight is king if you want racing or to a lesser extent acrobatics.
My current build which is taking way too long due to work is going to weigh about 350gms + battery. It is a Martian 3 220mm stretched X frame. All components and lots of my notes ore in build thread: http://www.multi-rotor.co.uk/index.php?topic=21681.0
This is not an out and out racer at all. The components are relatively cheap but it should enabe me to learn to fly in acro mode and have a bit of aerobatic fun.
I try :-)
