I';ve been searching, here & Mr Google, but keep getting conflicting answers  can anyone confirm that you can flash the D8R-XP firmware onto the D8R-ll Plus Rx to get PPM & RSSI outputs  :help:

Paul01

I believe the hardware is identical, so the firmware can be flashed.
TBS Tango 2
FatShark Dominator V3 with RapidFire Module
Armattan Chameleon-BF3.5.7
TBS Source One, KL100 Micro, Mobula7 HD
DJI Mavic Pro

The hardware is identical & you can indeed flash the XP firmware over the d8r-iiplus.  I have done this and have been running it reliably in CPPM mode for some time.  Its a 30 second flash to do.  The longest bit is finding the flash software on my PC.

They can sell the XP slightly more as it has CPPM output..  :p.

They have done the same with the X4R receivers.  X4R & X4RSB.  The only difference is the pin one of the resistors is soldered to.

Yes I can confirm. Mine was flashed by Peter king. See my post about compatability. So one is selling d8r-xp cheap. Just bought one for £24.50

Yours was a question about if it would work with your Tx module nothing to do with the firmware
