First quad build

Hi guys,

Just started building my first quadcopter

450 dji style frame
4 x NTM 2826 1100kv motors
4 x Afro ESC 30amp
Gemfan 9047 props
Mini APM 3.1 with GPS, 3dr telemetry and power module
3s 3000mah
Flysky ts-t6 radio

Waiting on a few parts from China, but hopefully should be flying this month.

Comments on setup appreciated.

 Looks fine setup wise, should fly nicely with those 9" props I started out with a 450 clone, should be lots of fun!

Looks like a good solid build. Looking forward to seeing that up in the air.

I found that 9" props were a little tricky to fly on my first build but when I swapped to 8" it was a lot easier, then a world again better moving from plastic to CF. But I';m glad I started with cheapo plastic props as I got through about 3 or 4 sets learning to get up in the air and those are cheap enough to burn while you';re getting the hang of things.

Thanks for the replies. Glad to here it should leave the ground, I';ve been looking at ordering a few different sized props I';ll add some 8s to try.

I used 9';s on my F450 and found them the best compromise - 10';s give you a bit more flight time but act like sails when there';s any wind! 8';s will give you less flight time but give you an easier to control model;  9';s are a bit more feisty but in my opinion the best option.
The motors you have picked are often not very well balanced and may prove a problem with the APM, APM';s don';t like vibration so you will need to be spot on with balancing and eliminating vibrations. You should find plenty of info regarding this on here or YouTube.

Yeah aware of the vibration issues, waiting for radio to turn up and dampening plate for mini APM before balancing. From what I have seen most people stick tape to the motor to balance, is there a better way?
