Another noob asking for help with PIDs

Got a fresh setup I';d like to tune. I';ve got most things tied in and I';ve just live calibrated my compass which should hopefully fix the yaw drift issue I was having today but I can';t seem to get my head around these damn PID settings. I';ve scoured the net for some sort of definitive test and tune method and what buttons to push but I';ve come up with old boots. Anyone able to tell me in layman';s terms what settings to try out? Here are my current settings which are only just a little off what MPNG R3 came with.

And here is how it flies...or rather oscillates

Sorry I can't help, but if you are getting an oscillation when your craft descends I too have this problem with a Naze32 FC, so I will be watching this thread with interest.  Good luck, I'm sure someone will have an answer.  ~~

You could always try Peter King';s setup, they are usually very stable and need very little tweaking.

Thanks! that leads me to a wealth of files. Only, which file is it I';m needing to pick up?

If you pick the Param file and replace you existing parameters with it you should be OK; but you may also need to use his compiled firmware  - the one to choose is the Quad one but which one will depend on if you';ve got an internal or external compass.

Well those parameters have loaded up nicely onto my existing firmware. All I';ve changed is channel 7 in the arducopter config section to do nothing instead of flipand Flight mode 6 back to RTL. Hopefully these PIDs should see me a bit more stable. Shame I can';t go out to test in this weather.  :cry Many thanks for you';re help. Hopefully before long i will have learnt enough of this stuff to get on without any hand holding.
