Title: Connection between GPS+COMPASS and CRIUS AIO PRO V2.0
Post by: khaidang27 on Thursday,June 25, 2015, 20:06:04
Hi guys
I am confusing about this wiring. As the picture i attached below. Can anyone help me figure out about that. We only need to use 4 wires (TX,RX,VCC, GND) to connect GPS module to Crius Flight Control or we NEED connect SCL and SDA to I2C port too???
- And what is SCL and SDA pins use for?
Thank you so much.
Appreciate for any help!
Regard!

I';m not sure which type of GPS board this is, but I have mine connected to TX2/RX2 (S1~S3) and take power from the I2C connector (VCC/GND). This because I use the VCC/GND pins from S1~S3 for my telemetry radio.
But must admit my GPS module does not have a built-in compass.

SDA is Serial Data, and SCL is Serial Clock, to answer your question about that.

I had to reflash my GPS unit using U-Blox';s software (U-Center) using the config file I found elsewhere on this forum. After this it worked like a charm.
