Can you set height for autotune, i may have missed it, i decided to try it for the first time and it imediatly launched itself at full trottle to about 20 feet up in half a second, I looked at the radio and I uttered the incantation of all flyers when these things happen, ';';oh s**t';'; - I looked back at the ever faster flying missile and the incantation had taken no effect, it was now like 30ft in the air in panic i switched back to stabilise and as my throttle was down...it fell like a stone and smashed... - now rebuilding...
Current MegapirateNG fw loaded
This was/is noob error, but no kittens were harmed. :banghead:
can you set a height for autotune?
You should put it in altitude hold before engaging autotune.
Gerry
damn, wished i';d read the manual lol
Wot Gerry said. And watch a couple of yYouTube videos on it.
When I use it I go up to about 3 or 4 meters altitude, hit up Alt Hold, move it about a bit to check it is holding okay and then hit up the Auto Tune switch and let it do its thing ~~
What Gerry said x2 although I didn';t realise crius/megaP had the auto tune functionality...??

Always a good start. Can a mod rename thread please? Noob kills model would be apt
Going to rebuild in a new configuration, while i went with an octa for (the planned) lift of a heavy cam, the arms get in the way too much, so thinking of staying with 8 but in quad formation, but will need stiffer arms than before so i dont get flex, but thats another thread.... maybe....
Thanks to all, as we learn from mistakes i';m planning on becoming a genius... :beer2:
