Had some fun today, first people to come up to me and ask a few things. Father and two kids.
Nerves kicked in and I "accidentally" full throttled on takeoff that'll teach them:D

Took one of my foam gates out today, I can't count how many times I whacked it. Need to put some tape on it to make it stand out a bit more although was a lot of fun. Got 3 more to make now.
Also first flights with Go Pro.. I love the sound of the motors although corners of the case were showing / small smudge on screen:(
What video editing software do you guys use? Tempted to try a basic one at first then possibly one with a few more features.

Also, adding a go pro could I now need to adjust pids/rates etc to compensate?

I only use Microsoft Movie Maker.

I have found that on 250 or bigger no PID change is needed. On smaller quads I do not use Mobius/GoPro as too much weight, I just use the DVD function on my headset.

I TRIED to fly today, quiet morning with not even a breeze, so the Eachine QX65 in the garden would be the thing as unable to go to field...............well, no, as every time I throttled up I lost the camera image, so I presumed something was dragging the voltage down too far.

GGGRRRRRR............... This is with HV LiPo, too. So I check the LiPo voltage and all the six were only around 4.2 -4.15 though they'd def been charged on HV setting. Anyway, charged them again and they went to 4.35-4.37.

STILL the same, camera picture cuts on take off or after a couple of seconds flight. :banghead: Quad flew normally LOS, for expected duration, just camera cutting out loss of signal. Camera LEDS all normal, just no image transmitted.

Now on this quad to get the camera angled up on mine the camera PCB is close to the main PCB (was supplied rammed into each other which had distorted frame till it recovered, but the camera worked OK)

SO, when back from garden centre trip (lovely) I put a layer of Blenderm across the camera bottom..and............

Perfect!

Just been hammering around the house, bouncing off walls, etc, perfect picture all the time.

After tea the garden hoops will be beckoning.............................

Started playing around with VDSC which seems pretty good for a free one.

Went out again today, not as many crashes (probably due to not taking my foam gate with me)
I've certainly noticed my flight times have gone down plus lots of jello? in the go pro footage.
Could this be down to the crashes damaging the props? had to bend back a few of them.

Think I'll change all 4 next time I go flying and see if theres any difference.
Other than that I'm not too sure what could be causing the jello..

Out of line prop blades can easily cause all sorts. I had high frequency vibration which was one three blader.

Probably props.
I finally managed to break my first prop today!!!! The KingKong ones are amazingly strong not great performance or grip. I have bent them back so many times and they are no where near the shape they are supposed to be but they work!!! I have even bent one back from being bent at 90degrees flat to the motor!!
Not using HD cam so jello not a problem just using fpv cam to goggles and can't really see any vibrations which is amazing. Mind you it's probaby me just having to concentrate so much I don't notice the vibrations ::) ::)

Managed to fly a couple packs today. Still have video issues so crashed and cracked the back of my split 2 where the screws go in so need a new case. Broke the vtx antenna off even with 3 cable ties. So ended up flying LOS doing a few flips here and there

Two maidens in one day. My new Emax Babyhawk R and my slightly bigger brand new Inspire 2.
This may be the lowest quality lowest effort video I've ever uploaded but here's some rushes from the Babyhawk maiden:

F550 (Naza V2, AeroXcraft arms, E310s, Zenmuse and GPH4-B)

DJI Inspire Pro

Nighthawk 250 (SPF3, Mobius C, Aomway 200mw)

FQ77-124 Pocket Drone + Hubsan X4

Make it - Break it - Make it better

I flew my cloud raptor flying wing, with eagle tree guardian.....it flew just great, did a few laps of the field but twice it decided to just suddenly throw itself nose first into the ground, both times it was coming out of a left turn and at same point in field, second impromptu dive ended play

I agree, if you listen carefully you can hear it humming a happy little ditty to itself as it buzzes around. Looked like a ninja tree to me ;)

That little patch of ground has seen some of my best crashes - it’s not often you hit the ground so hard you get stuck in a tree!

Met up with a group at Macc Athletics track, facebook does have it's uses :evil

They setup a track that I failed to negotiate, I just stuck to slaloming the floodlights and doing some speed runs.

Managed 110Km/h according to gps boy I'm luvin the 6S.

Anyway all was going well til someone turned on the same channel and down I came. Bust the front of the hex up a bit more than can be fixed with duct tape. But managed to find all the bits. Just got to make some carbon replacement plates now.

Wasdale X, Ow that hurt

Bit of an adventure today.
Took 2 gates out, Crash crash crash, only prop damage once more. I love the Rooster. Although my last SMA Antenna bar ( two on my goggles) fell off mid flight, spent about 20minutes looking and found it a few metres away from where we were standing!

Got to test the Nemesis I was lucky enough to win from Makeitbuildit.. Picture wasn't great for maiden but I've played with settings now and hopefully be a sizeable difference.
I felt like my batteries don't give it justice though:/
Incredibly fast and fun to fly.

Also stumbled upon this guy.. LOS Acro.
What the ****************

11 packs today split between my 3 inch and 5,
Took my 3 gates but forgot the hammer / ground pegs so didn't use them:(

Also had a weird issue, set up 3 rate profiles to a switch 1 default, 2 in between 3, where I kind of think they should be.
1/3 worked but using profile 2 prevented the quad from arming?

Also, loving the new rates, only slightly upped the rc rate and knocked super rate to 78 but it makes rolls / flips feel much nicer to do.
Did first inverted yaw spins today with 3inch & 5.

Go Pro sd card was full, last two packs I considered my best I didn't record -.-
