Well I did, but really wish I hadn't.

The 250 was losing camera intermittently, initially every time I throttled up, then less, enough to do a couple of careful circuits of the patch, with occasional bad black screen flicker. (back home its still like it, so a strip down is needed so while I am at it I will dump the FC as OSD is floating in and out as it feels like (has been for some time, no other camera issue till today though)

Switched to a 160 and it was suffering high speed judder from the motors above half throttle. Audible as well as in camera. Perfect when last flown a few weeks ago.

Then I realised that the other two quads I'd brought were on a Tx I hadn't.....................................

So I flew fixed wing. Good vision day for FPV, too.

Then on the way home an Audi driver decided lanes didn't matter and I didn't exist and faced with him swerving across my cars nose at 40mph, him braking to turn left, I had to explore my cars ABS. I got a sorry flash from the hazards, so that was all good then..................  (but I did get him on dash cam)

Shared the sky with some 🌞. A beautiful start to the spring time, working on my gap shot game while enjoying an energising lunchtime ☺ No better way to maiden a rebuilt 5" than to send it through some crudely homebrew gates ☺

Thanks Adam, really appreciate hearing that - especially from you :) I completely agree, Im pretty weak tuning wise and im insanely keen to improve on that. Its taken a while for me to adjust my rates to a point that I am better able to articulate my intentions with the quad, shooting small gates been super helpful training.

Thank you very much, I have come along way, and have a long way to go. I dont own the field, nor do i know who does (naughty naughty), but a footpath runs through it and its got some nice 3d features to play with. The locals are also quite well off so its a good area and no one has told me to leave (yet).

I tend to look for somewhere I can park close to, with a footpath running through it (but not too many people), and somewhere relatively safe to fly. This field will have cattle in it before I know it, but its good for now. Really was looking for somewhere not particularly glamorous to hit at lunch time (wonders of working from home).

First flight since mid January, maiden for a bitser, I wanted to see if a MicroVector would work on a 250.Result, yes as long as you get the motors in  the correct order :embarrassed I left the pitch and roll on stock settings for the trial but it still shifted given full stick.  Just wish it wasn't so ugly  ::)

Went out on Friday with TryingTo and got my first taste of racing gates. It was extremely gusty, and my quad was running like a bag of nails but perseverance paid off and I saw some improvements.

Here's a 60 second Instagram clip

Well it started ok, knocking the cr@p out of the gates, then you keep missing.  More practice needed... :nananana:

Three packs yesterday on a lovely spring afternoon - took an hour because the dog walkers ALSO thought it was a nice afternoon.  :banghead:

Burnt-in some more mode-2 muscle memory, took plenty of tumbles. Last one, landed right side up and out of sight so was able to fly back. Found I'd popped the cap off my VTX antenna.  :cry

Well, with the "if you can't beat them, join them" spirit I went back with the dog for a stroll. He chased some rabbits and I FOUND my cap.

The day was a WIN.  ::)

I got to try out my el cheapo SQ12 camera with a modded wide angle lens - turned out nicer than i expected!

The wide angleness hides my jerkiness and makes me look smoother and like a better flier than I really am  ::)

Wow, That's almost exactly how I fly proximity around multiple obstacles, But when I fly there's far fewer of the near misses........ And oh so many more direct hits. LOL !!!
I need a pay rise........ Though I'd settle for a reduction in the amount of hours I need to work to get the same money.

I keep looking at this and thinking it would be interesting to incorporate it into a track for a spot of outdoor tinywhoopery.....

OK, acting under orders, QX65 and Tiny7 Hybrid so far......................   ;)

After lunch will revise the battery holder on my two E011 as Banggood can't get me any batteries into UK and all other supply also seems to be Hong Kong so likely even less reliable. I have a load of Nano-Tech 260mAh ex Inductrix that I can use but they do not fit the holder as is and have differing connectors.
