  • DarkButterfly: I’m just not keen on MAVlink, it’s an unencrypted link and can be pwnd by anyone with a laptop and a modified 433 telemetry radio

  • shawdreamer: doesnt anyone use a mission planner anymore?,  as much as APM's are getting outdated now I still cant fault their mission planner when your doing range runs, take my laptop or windows pad along with me, program in a simple straight line waypoint route and hit "launch", aslong as your frame got a 433mhz telem radio onboard you can monitor the entire run their and back and worse case scenerio hit RTH on the lappy to bring it home early

Hello everybody!  :wack0

I'm from Leicester and have being flying for around a year now with my Phantom 3 Standard. Playing around with photography, cinematography and trying to make 3D models. I'm really interested in getting involved in the commercial side of things and went on Copterz PfCO course recently and managed to pass the theory and practical elements of the course. Whilst I work on my operations manual and build up my skills I would really like some hands on experience on commerical drone projects. So if there is anybody on here who is involved in that side of things, and wouldn't mind somebody hanging around to make coffee, be an observer, assist with any labouring/menial task aspects of their commercial drone operation, please feel free to contact me and I would be more than keen to come and get involved, free of charge of course.

I'm looking forward to using this forum as a free resource for learning and to soak up as much knowledge from the pros as possible.

Cheers,

Jack
