Has anyone looked at making a transmitter tray out of the 15 mm rod and accessories intended for camera rigs?

I was looking for a way of carrying a Linx 1010 as a telemetry station, but carrying it attached to my poor Turnigy TGY-i6 was a little much for it (the "fpv mounts" for the i6 are not the most sturdy anyway) aside from been a little hefty to hold.

so I decided to have a go with some cheap stuff off of amazon. The red knurled 1/4" nut is going to be epoxied to the base of the tx, just need to find a sensible way of throttling myse... i mean hanging it round my neck
