  • shawdreamer: doesnt anyone use a mission planner anymore?,  as much as APM's are getting outdated now I still cant fault their mission planner when your doing range runs, take my laptop or windows pad along with me, program in a simple straight line waypoint route and hit "launch", aslong as your frame got a 433mhz telem radio onboard you can monitor the entire run their and back and worse case scenerio hit RTH on the lappy to bring it home early

How to break a Wizard clean in half ...
« on: May 14, 2018, 20:19:24 »
Swapped out the motors on my old Wizard for some Luminier MX2206-9 the other day. Decided to take it for a blast last night and was having so much fun I crashed on my final pack and snapped both the top and bottom plate clean in half ... whoops ...

Anyway, here's a video from the fun-times. A few wobbles, this thing isn't tuned and I've not perfected my rates (excuses out of the way).

The result -

Personally I think you need to fly harder! :D

Nice smooth flying there though, other than the crash! :)

The plates must have been cracked before the crash as it didn't seem that hard.
Nice flying, loved the slow flips.

The crash that broke the Wizard’s back isn’t in this video. The final crash was rather unspectacular, just a hard hit into the sports field was all it took. I wouldn’t be surprised though if the plates were cracked from my learning days 🤪😝
