Kakute f4 AIO

Finally got to test fly the Kakute f4 aio today,  it had been hovered indoors for a few mins just to check it out but  that was it.
I';m not really into mini quads as i';m crap at flying them but this is a game changer , it';s solid.After a couple of batts i was flying it like i stole it and on stock settings. The goalpost avoidance system works perfectly, and i managed a few back flips, the first one was not intentional  but after i worked  out how it happened i tried a couple more. Only one arrival due to very gusty wind  trying to avoid a tree.

Too embarrassed to post pic, its on a Diatone Colour  frame with junk box Emax MT2204- 2300kv  motors Dys Bl heli  optic ESC, Spek sat. I';m  so impressed i will probably build a fpv 250 and keep this one for experimenting on.
I haven';t got this excited over a f/c for ages this one has really got my frock up..

Looks good to me. If it flies and goes where you ask it is good 

After having issues with Omnibus FC I am thinking I should look at an alternative.

The Kakute f4 aio is one I have considered but not sure on height (tight stack in Martian3). Can you tell me the height below the pcb, the thickness of pcb and height above pcb?

The other I am considering is the Matek F405 AIO but it means having batt connections at the side which may be vulnerable when I crash. Neither have baro and I was thinking it would be nice to see an idea of altitude.
Suppose I can';t have it all

That';s awesome, the Kakute F4 is rock solid even on stock settings, it supports SmartPort telemetry and lua scrips on the Taranis so tuning is a breeze.
They';ve hit the mark on this one

Only problem I had was the pads have varnish on them,I gave them a scrub with a cotton bud with acetone  then a dab of flux pen,they then soldered a treat.

I did have a look through the manual but it only lists total height at 7mm. I currently only have about 1mm of clearance in the stack before hitting the top plate. So limited on standoff sizes. I think it would be fine as I currently have 7mm anti vib standoffs which I wouldn';t need so could probably go to 4mm which gives me an extra 3mm that could go on top of the Kakute.

Go for it, i recharged the batts and had to nip out and have another quick buzz when the wind dropped. If you use Spektrum  sat it can';t be bound via the C.L.I.  you have to bind with a main receiver before soldering, not mentioned in manual.

The only thing i fail to understand, why all these FC don';t come with preinstalled pins to push in wires, instead of solder pads.

Its about saying space and weight, plus solder pads are better as it means a cleaner install.

Will do, Lucky i ordered last night, now the price has gone up for the FC.
