Look at the damage, if this was caused by a drone i am never flying in a "bacofoil" jet plane ever again
This smacks of media propaganda to make drone flyers look bad as usual
Volantex Ranger 1600/2000, Ranger 1200 G2, Phoenix S 1600 AR900 Miniskyhunter, ZOHD Dart 635 and a few 680 batwings plus old faithful C1 chaser and a lot of eagletree guardians

The impact area is quite large and if anything seem to come from the side, there are fewer scratches going backward than I would have expected.
It looks more like a soft body impact to me with a couple of angle iron whacks.

Scant details so that nobody can be questioned, they are probably trusting the racism of most folk reading to not ask the same questions of these pilots that they would of western ones.

Full details required.
Something that was big enough to cause that damage will leave some debris on the ground.
Fit the planes with front facing cameras, this "it was a drone" stuff with never any proof is insulting the intelligence of all.

Just found this
https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=192598

So the crew were alerted by a bang, "Local media report that the damage was caused by a drone. "

Perhaps the hearline should have read .....  "Very embarased  pilot hits set of steps on taxi way and blames it on a drone"  Very strong smell of bovine poop. :whistling:
Reptile folder , alien 500 , F/ Shark Attitudes,

That is exactly what I thought when I saw the damage and a couple of angular marks.

Why would there be a set of steps on a taxiway? And why wouldn';t they report that if they hit them? Wouldn';t the ground staff report that too?

I think the comment about the steps is generic, a way of saying "did the pilot" bump an object on the ground and try a cover up

If it was a drone it probably said US Airforce" down the side of it and is capable of taking out light armour

And my comment was a generic way of saying why do you guys always assume there couldn';t have been a drone.

In fact, the pilot and airline didn';t say anything about a drone. Much like the BA one last year, the report says they hit an object.

We are constantly washed with propaganda, "the line" an agenda, question what we are told, ask for proof, it may be true and we then learn how validate information we are wider, conversely accept what we are told and stay dumb. There is nothing in the initial report that gives me confidence it was a drone so I push back a do a little digging. The pilots didn';t report a drone, it was the media probably wanting to up their sales of news stories.
The impact of this story to the unquestioning public is that there was damage shown on plane so that must prove that the only thing suggested in the story (a drone) is now "proven to had damaged a plane" when nothing may be further from the truth. We will lose all rights to "activities" if the general populace, the TV viewers can be convinced it is dangerous.

Personally I';m not surprised about this at all. The number of car sized drones flying around Mozambique... it was gonna happen eventually.

Yeah right, a drone...OK

Nothing to do with the ground crew doing something stupid with the boarding steps or the pilot bumping into something on the ground obviously, as that never happens does it.

Whoever did the damage could be facing 3.5 million creds of repairs and the loss of his job. Its almost worth him bunging the pilots a few creds to say it was a drone...

We will never know the truth about this one and who really cares anyway about the news being based on truth.

Nobody.

Fake News=Clicks  ~~

I think this is true however.  The Daily Express is a paragon of truth.  End Of..

http://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/642153/Police-capture-ALIEN-Officers-say-they-have-an-ET-in-custody-after-UFO-sightings

AND ANOTHER THING
Most "News", probably 95% of it comes from AP, Reuters and Newswire it is disseminated globally to "news" organisations.  This is why we get exactly the SAME "news" stories being read out on every single main-stream media platform, word for word, at the same time all over the world.  Like the Diplodocus  bones from the natural history museum going on tour in the UK story that was EVERYWHERE last week...

"and how do you say Diplodocus anyway"????

They must thing we are stupid....

Hang on....;-)

Apologies, I seem to have cloned this story elsewhere on here ::)  An honest mistake guv ::)

Meanwhile, seems it didn';t happen, as others suspected above ...
