Hi guys,

Well, it took me three days to work out how to properly setup and configure the JR DSX9 transmitter to work with the DJI Naza through the Spektrum AR7000 with SmartSafe.

This is not an easy task and if you haven';t used switch assignments and mixing before on your DSX9, I would recommend you read pages 42-43 about switch assignments & 69-71 about mixing in the DSX9 manual.

Okay, there are some important notes here.

1) Unlike the old version of the DSX9 which was the PCM9X which had a failsafe option. The DSX9 doesn';t have one and this has to be done through the Spektrum receiver.
2) The AR7000 can be binded in two ways. The conventional way, which is to leave the bind cable in the receiver for the entire binding process and the smartsafe way which is to remove the bind cable after rx power on but before tx power on. This forces the rx to remember all tx switch assignments for binding.

The video below is very good and covers all necessary steps, but please do watch the section about binding more than once as this removal of the bind cable caught me out as I';d binded so many times in the past and I thought!!! i was an expert!

If you';re following in my footsteps, good luck and I hope this posting and video save you some valuable time.
