I';ve reserved it might start it downloading while I go walk the pooch, It looks kinda funky a nice mix between traditional and 8 which I didn';t really mind to be honest.

I will wait and see. Can';t help but thinking Microsoft must have a plan to make money out of this somehow. Look at how they are trying to get people into MS Office subscriptions. I am very suspicious of Win10.

Is it available as a complete, fresh installation?
I never have liked the idea of installing a new operating system on top of the old version... it just seems wrong

I did it as an upgrade using the Windows Insider program (free upgrade & legitimises your install if you';re on an existing hooky copy of Windows) from 8.1 today. No real hiccups in day to day use other than it not installing my graphics driver on launch, which I would be pretty impressed if it would have managed! I';ll probably load up BF4 in a bit and see what gaming performance is like, I don';t expect it to have dropped much if at all! The true test will be when games start rolling out with DX12 implementation.

I have mine reserved but I will give it a week before installing. I want to make sure Mission planner is compatable. The Microsoft rep on the radio this morning said he wanted people to love it,going by M/soft past offerings ,bells ,whistles,and clutter I am not holding my breath.

My cousin sent me link after I complained to him about it not downloading. ( He';s a IT technician, so I complain to him about everything computer related. )

just watched the Tested webcast review of 10, seems that the downloads are being rolled out dependent on what your system hardware is, so if you';ve not had the update notification maybe the correct drivers havent been sorted for your machine yet

If your already running windows 7 or 8, it will work fine, Microsoft are just cautiously rolling it out to system they know it works on first.

All installed, started a fresh Windows so downloading all my crap and transferring all my files back.

Seems pretty quick, their new "Edge" browser is quick. Hasn';t crashed yet, unlike IE used too.

If they work on 7, they';ll work on 10. Thats the idea of it.

Some posts are saying that a lot of the drivers are stuck in  France.

Take the plunge... Do it! [emoji1]. The desktop makes more sense than 8.1 - a bit old school and a touch of the Linux Mint IMHO. All drivers so far, no mishaps. Will try Cleanfight when I get home later.

Cleanflight has been working for me for the past 4 months on the insider releases, you should have no issues.


Also there should be 1gb day one update rolling out today to iron out most bugs that have been found since the RTM release
