oooo I got a new cam and props today toooooo...

tx03 25/50/200mw AIO cam and..

kingkong 5051';s...

alot more aggressive pitch than I usually opt for but wanted to give em a shot just to see what their like and at 6quid for 10 pairs why not aye...

surprisingly quieter than the dal 5040 four blades Ive been using but still have plenty of punch and seem to handle sudden directional changes alot better (blades are alot more stiffer and less flexible than the DAL';s so thats probably why)

oops my bad, there actually racerstar 5051';s.... the kingkongs havnt shown up yet.

I had 400 crimp on female servo plug pins waiting for me when I got back home today.
It';s always the little details that hold up a build, And I';ve always just bought 10x male/10x female servo plug kits in the past, But last week while trying to find female pins to crimp on a cable I found that I had fri66in'; hundreds of the plastic plug bodys (I';ve bought loads over the years, plus I';ve never thrown away the ones I cut off things like ESC';s, board FPV cams and scrap servos), I also still have shed loads of the male pins, But I was down to my last 5 or 6 female pins.

After a little hunting I found a UK Ebay shop flogging them, So I decided to stock up. That lot should keep me going for a while. :)
I need a pay rise........ Though I'd settle for a reduction in the amount of hours I need to work to get the same money.

Issue 1 & 2 of deagostini build the xwing.initial thoughts,it seems ok but r2d2 head is wrong silver color, theres 2 noticable mould lines on the head and the paint job on some parts could have been done better.

I already finished the ayrton senna mp4/4 but havnt built it,that is realy nice quality and impressive.

I wish i had done the millenium falcon now but bar waiting till its all issued and can buy it job lot thats the only way to get that.

This is a test run of first 10 issues so hope everything else will be acceptable but can see there will be sanding and repainting required.

I used to use the Taranis soft case. Goggles fit in there great if you cut between the two wholes above the TX.

Yesterday posty brought me 3x bluetooth modules, So now I can screw up the PID settings in iNav wirelessly and (Almost) in realtime !!! :)

I';m thinking that with my usual "Change a random PID setting a bit and see if it fly';s better or worse afterward" approach to quad tuning I can REALLY go mad now and change settings wholesale until the feckin'; thing';s only stable when it';s sitting on the ground with the blades removed. LOL !

I REALLY should make the time to properly get my head around tuning. I can';t believe I';ve gone so far by blindly blundering along through the PID';s without fully understanding how they all interact. :(
I need a pay rise........ Though I'd settle for a reduction in the amount of hours I need to work to get the same money.

99% of erstwhile PID TUNERS in all honesty would admit to knowing next to feckall about what their fiddling with and just content themselves with changing a number here..... see if it go';s insane..... change it a bit more..... or get adventueous and change another aswell at the sametime.

you see it now and again down near the river were alot seem to fly nowadays ere, the occassional slapped together duct tape job juddering around the sky looking like a multirotor version of a parkinson disease victom, you wanna slap the idiot "attempting" to fly it and send him home with instructions to plug it back into his pc and hit the "default settings" button before never touching it again .

Yesterday, 2 of 3600mAh 6S Turnigy, which have been charged but have not balanced that well, not as good as usual, so not impressed so far.

I';m about to go fly them gently (500 Heli with full current and cell voltage telemetry) and then see how they balance on a second charge.

Before the second charge, check the cell voltages to see if they';re all similar. If one is more than a few hundredths of a volt out I';d say you have a bad one.

5051KingKongs

bought on whim cos I wanted to see if there was any difference between them and the racerstar 5051';s....

I can say visually and material wise......

they look like they came out the same soddin mold, the Kingkongs (red) claim to be unbreakable, the racerstars(orange) don';t claim it but I can tell you by experience their proper solid props.

either way they look good on....

Having been flown hover only on a Heli to 60%, both packs are now within 0.05v from highest to lowest cell.

10 sets of RK5051';s and finally a BetaFlightF3 to replace that effing SPR Neo in my Alien 5.

BTW HobbyRC still have stock of BF-F3';s as of now if anyone';s in need.
