What strange thing to build next. Ideas?

Well I have decided not to bother with the Y6 I was planning on building and to try something completely different. So a few configurations I have been toying around with.

Y6 but with the rear rotors angled, like <
U6 but with the rear in a A-tail.
Y4 but with front 2 In a V (this is my favourite so far)
Cube

Anyone got any other configurations that I could think about? They don';t have to be efficient or even workable, just different.  ::)

Max 6 rotors and no servos though.

Well I was thinking the other day about a y4 but with an angled rear boom. Was going to call it The Scorpion.
Round By Round Qualifying and Finals For All.

it just makes sense

What about a tricopter with 2 motors on each arm, one pull,  one push.
ZMR 250 carbon frame, emax mt1806 motors, mystery 12a ESC, Flip32+, 5040 props
9x transmitter

Revs

I';ve been thinking about a tri-copter with a smaller 4th blade at the back, heli style. Rear blade would be fixed pitch with reversible ESC. Frame maybe T style to account for the extra weight at the rear. This would get rid for the mechanical yaw mechanism and you wouldn';t lose rear end thrust when yawing hard. Shouldn';t add more than 50g using a little 2204 or something. Losing the servo and pivot would counter that so some extent, too.

That';s a Y6, unless you mean to put the rear on a servo like a tri.

A good candidate for  sunny sky 2212 1400kv motors ::)

Guess what motors I have waiting for this project ::)

if the props spin the same way, it still works like a tri. eagle tree tried a double motored quad with the vector, it wasn';t a true X8, the ESCs were put on Y leads to double them up.
440 Y6 with vector, F330 quad with naza, hammer 240 with flip32, and watch this space.

Seeing as though I have killed my little quad. This is what I';m going to do with the parts.

Going to start this weekend, shouldn';t take too long.

Having nothing to fly is a good incentive, this time I think I';ll make it a bit more ridged.

Going to invert the motors as well, just for the hell of it and room for 6inch props  ::)

what about a plain tri with a single motor in the middle?
