  • Reman: I just half woke up, opened my eyes to check the time. and while doing this I subconsciously noticed something wrong with the shape of shadows on the other side of the room. That woke me up with a jolt!!!  It seems I've got so used to seeing my camera hex perched up on the set of draws in the corner of my bedroom that the area now looks strangely empty without it (I took it apart on Sunday to begin the rebuild into its new Y6 frame)...... And now I'm wide awake at bloody half one in the morning....... And feeling like a paranoid pillock. :(

I live up in Salford, are there any locations I can get out and fly, given I am a complete noob so it';s best to be in a safe location with as few people as possible

Someone posted that there is an app called ';Drone Zones'; which allows people to add places they fly in. Check it out as it might give you some locations.

Pete, Google "Drinkwater Park Raceway".  It';s in Prestwich just off the m62.  There';s a meet there on a Sunday apparently.  Not made it there on a Sunday yet, but I reccy';d it yesterday and a runner I spoke to said there';s usually a group of people flying there most Sundays around 2pm when he runs through.

Thanks, I have been in touch with the guys at Drinkwater Park Raceway and ended up going over to Drone Racing Manchester, an indoor flying space, too meet them and introduce myself. They seem like a good bunch, haven';t flown with them yet as I don';t feel confident flying indoors yet.
I would defiantly email them if you want a group to fly with especially if you want to do racing!
