  • JeremyE: The surface is constantly changing and you have way less time to react.
    June 27, 2017, 10:55:22
  • JeremyE: F1 requires way more skill!
    June 27, 2017, 10:54:31
  • ched999uk: Rally is great to watch and they display amazing control and skill. The problem for me is only seeing very limited clips of cars and it's a tie trial only. OK so the surface changes and they don't get to try the track before it matters. I like to see F1 drivers overtaking, OK so before anyone says what overtake in F1, it is getting better :)
    June 27, 2017, 10:35:24
  • shawdreamer: dont mean to take anything away from F1 drivers but when they race they rely on the road surface being dependably and consistently the same everytime..... a rally driver has to has to adjust his technique on every single turn and bend and take account that everytime another vehicle go's through that turn and bend ahead of his it changes the nature of the surface, F1 drivers are skilled, Rally drivers are skilled and brave..... and more than a little nuts

  • shawdreamer: "once ina while" is all very good with F1 but you watch a rally and everytime its a spectacle.
    June 26, 2017, 09:10:35
  • ched999uk: I assume you missed the F1 today. It was ore like rally cross!!!
    June 25, 2017, 23:45:50
  • shawdreamer: thats why Rally motorsport is the only motorsport ill even entertain anymore, those guys display almost inhuman skill levels everytime the go out, compared to driving round and round a flat tarmaced race track in a F1 is just a piece of pi55

Churchyard Flight
« on: April 01, 2014, 22:03:33 »
It was such a nice morning today, sunny and just a hint of mist , that I managed to get out before work with the H quad. I went to our village church as its a nice building dating back to Saxon times and the daffodils are looking good. No one about except for a couple of policemen with guns :o(they are patrolling around  here permanently to protect a large gas terminal nearby) , I got the expected 'Is that a drone?' to which I said 'No, its just a multirotor' and the classic follow ups 'Are you local?' and 'you should carry ID if your going to fly that around here'  They got a bit more friendly after a bit of a chat(I didn't offer any ID ) and one of them even came and watched for a bit.

About 400 miles East of Wales LOL! It's in Norfolk, just across a field from my house, it's a really nice old building with some medieval paintings inside and an old door dating back to the 12th century hanging up inside.

Thanks, it's just a pity that the gimbal wasn't quite sitting level at the beginning(note to self: check this stuff before filming!) and there is a bit of annoying shake but I think thats just down to my cheap 11" gemfans flexing, I should probably try some carbon reinforced.
