  • Reman: Unlikely. I can't even see where the snapped end of the windings are. It looks like its fractured right where the enamel copper goes into the stator. I'd have to cook the stator off the bearing tower to get to it, And if I went that far I'd probabbly be better off re winding the whole stator instaid of doing a bodge.
  • ched999uk: Sugar reman, can't you resolder a wire onto the windings? You will need to remove teh coating.

  • Reman: Oh c0ck. :(  I've been building a lightweight 5" to use the 1900kv Multistar 1704's I salvaged off my first quad. The whole point of this build was to make something light enough to be fun with this particular set of motors........ Long story short, I've just managed to snap one of the windings tails off the stator on one of them. Short of rewinding the little b4stard, its scrap..... So once again, Oh c0ck ! :(

A diatone sp f3 aio fc,like it,connected betaflight no problemos, nice little board for the £23.

2 cc3d f3 v2 aio flight controllers, had me scratching my head as i got 2 and would you believe an aio that comes in at around £12!?!!!so 2 aio cc3d v2 fc,i connected to betaflight/cleanflight and port changes but no luck.thought bum it,then read the comments and librepilot came up.so had a go with that for the first time and connected and upgraded fw and can even get into all the settings so now i got new app to learn and get use to.

So all in all i am impressed and a happy bunny feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, courtesy banggood!!

A while back I ordered 3 IR Blocked lenses, But BangGood sent the IR Sensitive ones instaid. They quickly agreed to resend the lenses and they arived today........ 2x IR Blocked, And another of the feckin' IR Sensitive. I'm not going to bother raising another ticket. I've got 2 of the lenses I wanted (And 4 I didn't). I'm losing my faith in them to get anything right. The way things are going with BangGood lately, they seem to be running some kind of international lucky dip !

I'm almost tempted to find the cheapest item they sell and buy 20 of them in separate packages. Feck knows what would turn up, But it would have to be worth more than what I'd actually ordered !!! :)

I'm wondering what I'm going to find in the next package. It's ment to be replacment motors for the miss picked replacment motors that were to replace the originally miss picked motors. I think I'll be letting my Labrador sniff that one before opening it. Going by recent experience there could literally be anything in there. If the dog goes mental it could mean they've accidentally sent me a feckin' Snow leopard (While my dog's sniffing, I'll be carefully listening for big angry snarly noises....... But from a safe distance) !!!!! LOL !!!!
A really bad day of flying is still ten times better than a good day at work.

My dad just got back from a job in L.A. and while he was there I asked him to pop into PiroflipRC store, turns out its not a traditional walk in store but mail order only! but the guy who runs it Sergio was a really cool guy and sorted my dad out with some new 3 inch props that are hard to get in the UK at the moment, some Lumenier 3040x3 and Racekraft 3076x3 props, just got married so not had time to try them yet but as soon as were back from honeymoon going to slap them on my BH 1407's and see how they perform.

This little beastie:

Not had a chance to give it a proper go yet but from a few clips of me walking around the house, it looks like a pretty good camera for the price. It definitely feels more solid than my hero 4 silver and for the price I'm not going to be as worried about strapping it on a quad.

Very frustrated post!

Finally got myself some goggles.... pushed the boat out so I could get a good pair rather than a big box for my face.... only to find that my 12v reg has popped and that I've also managed to chop through my VTX cable which I thought I had taped down out of the way whilst I was flying LOS.

Lovely goggles and the front camera works but that's about all I can say for now!

2 x v2.4 esc's for the cheerson cx-20 finally arrived on the 'slow boat' from China. Wasn't willing to wait 5-6 weeks so I repaired the faulty esc's a month ago with new capacitors, but it's nice to have a couple of spares on hand as they're hard to find in the UK.

Some of these COB LED units:-

https://www.banggood.com/4W-48led-COB-LED-Chip-480mA-WhiteWarm-White-For-DIY-DC-12V-p-959059.html

and some of these:-

https://www.banggood.com/6W-76led-COB-LED-Chip-520mA-WhiteWarm-White-For-DIY-DC-12V-p-960210.html

They are replacing lower power LED strips in an Aquarium (Shrimp) so will be on long hours a day, be interesting to see how long they last!!

the square ones aernt actually that bad, give off fair light (used 4 in a outside garden floodlight).

I wouldn't use the brilliant white ones with an aquarium though, the poor shrimp will go soddin blind, stick with "warm whites", oh and you might wanna add some heatsink fins to the back if your gonna run them at their max input 12v for long periods as they still get hot despite the alu backing (not instant death hot but enough to reduce their life span)

A new battery, gemfan props and some rubber stand offs from HobbyRc and a replacement PDB  from Electric Wingman...

I always seem to order from both suppliers at the same time and have had to notch service from both every time, both going the extra mile to be helpful.

Very much recommend them both.
