  • Reman: I just half woke up, opened my eyes to check the time. and while doing this I subconsciously noticed something wrong with the shape of shadows on the other side of the room. That woke me up with a jolt!!!  It seems I've got so used to seeing my camera hex perched up on the set of draws in the corner of my bedroom that the area now looks strangely empty without it (I took it apart on Sunday to begin the rebuild into its new Y6 frame)...... And now I'm wide awake at bloody half one in the morning....... And feeling like a paranoid pillock. :(

DONT buy this frame
« on: August 08, 2017, 16:33:39 »
So i bought this frame kit the TBS clone, the arm fixing holes do NOT line up, i have resorted to drilling all  the holes out by 0.5mm on each and it still does not go together, so i now have piles of stuff on order for a frame i cant use, it will cost nearly what its worth to return back to China, i should have just stuck to the original idea of making a frame from Plywood with hard wood arms, maybe i can make hardwood arms for this frame and make a mongrel

doesnt really help but for what that frame offers Id have just gone with a x-mode alien as previously mentioned in another topic (possibly yours Im not 100% :slap:)

plenty of them knocking about on eGay (UK) and their basically the same setup as a TBS (slightly tighter arm angles and the front mounts are different, oh and obviously their not CF boards but GF)

Ive used/built three quads using these frames and all but the one Im currently converting to folding are still air worthy despite some less than gentle handling by my two cousins.

they also Use the same arms as the TBS (aslong as its not the slimmed version (the mount holes differ slightly then) so the arms you already have can be used as spares (aswell as all the screws, standoffs etc)

I need a pay rise........ Though I'd settle for a reduction in the amount of hours I need to work to get the same money.
